The Team

Background

YES (Your Environment Spotless) started in 2004 and is a segregated waste collection company originating in Durban (including the Ballito area) with a branch in Johannesburg. A range of custom-made recycling bins are available for sale to the public in the major centres. YES are driven by a desire to make the sorting and collection of recyclable waste easy and hassle free. The program was started in schools in Durban and has grown to complexes and office parks. In 2009 YES started a home collection service which has grown steadily in the greater Durban area.

Why?

If one considers that 5500 tons of waste goes to landfill every day, just in Durban, and 6500 ++ just in Johannesburg, it is vital that this volume is reduced as much as possible. Recycling our waste is an obvious solution.

Our Vision is to be recognised as one of the premier agents in creating a culture of environmentally responsible South Africans.

Our Mission is to reduce waste to landfill by changing mindsets by educating the youth and members of the public through the establishment of simple, sustainable methods of waste segregation and collection.
